Bear Cabin

Everyone that comes to Denali hopes to see a bear and your chance of seeing one when you stay in this cabin is a sure thing. But don’t worry, they’re just pictures! Beautiful photos of this magnificent creature complement the rustic feel of this comfortable hand crafted log cabin.

Deluxe log cabins are located 500 yards off the Parks Highway.  We are within walking distance to the local stores and restaurants in Healy Alaska.  The 49th State Brewery, delicious Thai food, Rose’s Café, a couple convenience stores and a full service grocery store are all nearby. The entrance to Denali National Park and the Canyon Business District are a short and scenic 11 mile drive.  There is plenty of walking and hiking opportunities nearby with great views of the Alaska Range. The Cabins are situated on a quiet wooded property. Each cabin comes equipped with two queen beds, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, internet and TV with Roku and of course complete bath amenities.  The cabin is heated and has two ceiling fans for your comfort.

Our cabins are barely three seasons old and are custom made with local Spruce logs and furnished with handmade log furniture.  A great place to stay for all of your Denali adventures.

Denali  (also known as Mount McKinley, its former official name) is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level. Denali rises about 18,000 feet (5,486 m) from its base, exceeding Everest’s 12,000 feet (3,658 m) vertical rise from base at around 17,000 feet (5,182 m). Denali is the third most prominent and third most isolated peak after Mount Everest and Aconcagua. Located in the Alaska Range in the interior of the U.S. state of Alaska, Denali is the centerpiece of Denali National Park and Preserve.

“This cabin was just what we were looking for, very clean, cozy, convenient to Denali but out of the “touriststy” area. Wish we could have stayed longer. “

“The four of us stayed in the bear cabin! The cabin is very clean and surprisingly spacious considering it’s a one room cabin. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had a great rainfall shower head (and good water pressure). We were appreciative for the keurig and coffee accessories for the early mornings too. It’s right off the highway so super easy to get to and very close to some delicious restaurants and about a 10 min drive to Denali natl park.”
